About the Evolve Freestyle Academy

Evolve Freestyle Academy is a ski and snowboard academy in Ontario for young skiers and snowboarders.  The Evolve Academy provides intermediate and advanced riders the opportunity to train with Ontario’s best freestyle ski and snowboard coaches. Our ski and snowboard lessons focus on every aspect of freeriding and freestyle – from basic fundamentals to fine tuning the most difficult and technical tricks. Evolve Freestyle Academy coaches and staff work as a team to create a friendly and fun camp experience for everyone involved. Our program and lessons are all about progression in a positive and encouraging atmosphere.

Safety and supervision

Landing different tricks and learning new things is what freestyle skiing and snowboard are all about. That’s what makes it fun – that is until someone gets hurt.

That’s why our absolute top priority is safety. Without it, value of skiing and snowboarding are gone. At Evolve Freestyle Academy, we’re here to have fun with our riders. Each of them will be sufficiently and safely coached and supervised from their arrival to departure. Most ski and snowboard injuries can be prevented. Simply wearing a helmet and mastering fundamentals greatly reduces the inherent risks in our sport. Each Evolve Freestyle rider will be with an expert coach throughout their lesson to learn and master new tricks together – properly. Practicing safe sking and snowboarding is a life-long habit we try to instill in each Evolve Freestyle Academy participant.

The Directors

Evolve Freestyle is owned and operated by Evolve Tours Co-founders Daniel Rinzler and Jeff Richmond. Together, they bring more than 10 years experience operating ski and snowboard camps around the globe. Their most popular work is at Evolve Chile, South America’s first ski and snowboard camp for teens. Jeff and Daniel are experts in their own right – recruiting top-level professional coaches, executing and organizing every operational facet for the world’s best camps while keeping everything safe and fun. These two highly educated professionals chose to have the most fun they can have while still calling it work. Evolve Camps are designed to share their formula of life-long learning with life-long activity – and how to safely do it with a smile.

Location

Evolve Freestyle Academy is located one hour north of Toronto at Mt. St. Louis Moonstone Ski Resort. The ski and snowboard area has two freestyle terrain parks – one beginner and one advanced. The “Junkyard” serves as stomping grounds for beginners and intermediate riders. The “Outback” redefined Ontario terrain parks as we know them. On any given day you will find our own coaching staff throwing down with Ontario’s top riders. The terrain outside the park is perfect for mastering ski and snowboard fundamentals.
